Backbone Trail - Triunfo Peak Section

A warm and windy day greeted 11 volunteers as we began work on the Triunfo section of the Backbone Trail off Yerba Buena Road. We split up with half the group proceeding west and half going east. Recent rains had brought many rocks down onto the trail and they needed to be removed. We also trimmed brush back and groomed the trail in places. The views were tremendous and included 5 of the 7 Channel Islands. A bobcat was also sighted early that morning prowling about for a meal.
