Backbone Trail Trek 2007 Registration Instructions

Registration for Backbone Trail Trek 2007 opens on March 1, 2007. The number of hikers is limited to 25 and registrations are accepted on a first come first served basis. There is a registration fee to cover expenses for campgrounds, transportation of personal equipment, insurance, food and the like, with any excess fee going to improve and maintain the trails in the Santa Monica Mountains. The registration fee is $450 for Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council members or $500 for non-members. SMMTC membership is open to anyone for an annual membership fee of $35.

To register, print out and fill in the Registration Form and Liability Form*. If you elect to join SMMTC, also include the SMMTC Membership Form. Registration must include a check payable to SMMTC, for the full registration fee. If you are joining SMMTC, you may enclose a combined check in the amount of $485 to cover both the registration and membership fees. The completed forms and registration fee should be mailed to:

REFUND POLICY

Full refunds (minus a $50 cancellation fee) are made if cancellations are postmarked April 6, 2007 or earlier. No refunds can be given after April 6, 2007. Cancellation and request for refund must be made by mail only, addressed to the registrar – or by e-mail to BBTTrek@yahoo.com and acknowledged by the registrar.


* Registration is not complete without the Liability Form.
