Bay Tree Trail

Topanga State Park

This was a joint project with Sierra Club Task Force

Our combined crew totaled around 30 people. The work we did in the past year or two on the upper portions of the trail is holding up nicely, needing only a bit of lopping and tread work. Today we mostly worked on redefining the trail at the bottom near the creek. Grass, miners lettuce and other plants like wild peony are greening up the upper trailside portions nicely.

Deer are common at the Trippet Ranch parking area that served as our meeting place

Most of the work was near the bottom where the trail meets the stream that leads into Rustic Canyon
