Point Mugu State Park

28th Annual Santa Monica Mountains Trail Days

About 140 people maintained trails within Point Mugu State Park and camped at Danielson Ranch at this year's event. It was great to see both familiar and unfamiliar faces and it was clear everyone had a wonderful time. The trails saw a lot of needed attention as well! Many different organizations participated in the event, including the California Conservation Corps of the Camarillo Center, California Native Plant Society, California State Parks, CORBA, Crenshaw Eco Club, National Park Service, the Sierra Club Trails Task Force, and of course the SMMTC. The Saturday crews worked on many trails, including Coyote, Upper Sycamore, Blue Canyon, Chamberlain, and Old Boney trails. On Sunday the remaining crews worked on segments of Blue Canyon and Boney Trails. Thanks to all the volunteers and coordinators!
